I watched an amazing video of a 94 years old Bagua Master demonstrating something that I wasn’t sure if it was real. So I decided to travel back to China again hoping to find a deeper understanding to this mystic internal power.

I managed to find contacts that introduced me to the old Bagua Master in the video through hard efforts, GrandMaster Tie En Fang, who was very friendly and forthcoming in showing me this internal power, however due to his health issue and age I wasn’t able to learn from him.

During my search for another good internal Master, I found and studied under Master Zhang Xin Bin, 5th generation Bai Yuan Tong BeiMaster, whom showed me a very unique side of Tong Beithat focused on unified power generation. He helped me to consolidate my previous learning and understanding of power generation from Yi Quan etc. into a new level.

Master Zhang Zi Chen– Disciple of the famous Taichi GrandMasterShi Ming, whom was one of the most recognized and respected Taichi Master in Beijing.

Master Zhanghas combined knowledge from GrandMasterWu Tu Nan, the Wang Yong Quan lineage as well as GrandMasterShi Ming’s personal understanding, allowing him to have extremely comprehensive knowledge to the Yang family Taichi as well as Taichi in general. Master Zhang was able to demonstrate and explain all the strange things I heard and saw about internal power, and I have been studying under him ever since, traveling back to China every year.

I met a friend who specialized in Chinese Southern styles. In order for me to have a better understanding to Chinese Martial Art, I realised that knowing just the northern styles wasn’t enough, so I decided to learn Hung Gar’s Iron Thread practice and Wing Chun from him.

I started to realise all the competitions and awards are not the ultimate goal that I want to achieve in my life, instead to reach higher level in the endless knowledge of Chinese Martial Art is what I really want. Therefore, I stopped participate in any competitions.
