My yoga journey started in 2006 when I attended my first class. My intention was to get fit through the trend I’d heard about on the radio. While I definitely became stronger and leaner, I soon realised that yoga was more than just an exercise regime. It offered me an escape from the pressures of my corporate career as I began to enjoy a sense of complete wellness through delving deeper into my practice. I have since explored various styles of yoga am a RYT200 Vinyasa Yoga Teacher.

Vinyasa is a Sanskrit word meaning “to place with purpose”. It involves the co-ordination of breath and movement as you flow between poses. Vinyasa Yoga is an active practice and my classes are physically and mentally challenging. They are adaptable to all levels (including beginners) and are non-denominational.

Yoga has been, and continues to be my journey of the self through the self. It inspires me to challenge my body and mind while reminding me to be kind to myself. I find a sense of calm, peace and strength from yoga – an amazing feeling that I would love others to experience.
